TACTICAL ATHLETE & FIRST RESPONDER PROGRAM

TACTICAL ATHLETE AND
FIRST RESPONDER PROGRAM

Treating Injury, Promoting Wellness and Decreasing Injury

The Tactical Athlete and First Responder Program at Boston Sports Performance Center is dedicated to ensuring public safety, personnel health, and wellness. The center’s physical therapy team, along with primary care physicians and other specialists at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, works closely with military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, protective services, and emergency services personnel to treat injury, promote wellness, and decrease injury risk on the job.

Physical Therapy

At the Boston Sports Performance Center, our licensed physical therapists specialize in injury prevention,
including conservative care of both acute and chronic injuries, as well as post-operative rehabilitation progressions.
Our goal for our tactical athletes and first responders is for you to return to duty at your highest level of performance.

Injury Prevention

The physical therapy team at Boston Sports Performance Center uses the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) to detect movement dysfunction and assess the risk factors of injury. A valuable screening tool for our tactical athletes, the FMS assesses the quality of seven fundamental movement patterns. Tactical athletes benefit from FMS screens as they have an increased risk for physical injury and poor movement patterns due to the external loads associated with performing daily duties.

Individual and group pricing is available. Please call 781-591-8191 for pricing.

Concussion Management Program

Boston Sports Performance Center’s Concussion Management Team not only diagnose and treat concussion but also provide comprehensive evaluations and baseline testing. The Concussion Management Program is overseen by sports medicine physicians and physical therapists who work within a multidisciplinary team offering an integrated treatment plan.
